Green Acres Middle School Bands

The Wind Ensemble is a premier middle school concert band experience, made up of wind players and percussionists through an audition process. The band performs exciting concert band literature throughout the year with a high level of focus on music fundamentals and musicianship. In the fall the Wind Ensemble performs at parades and a winter concert as well as fundraising events. In the second semester, the band will focus on challenging and exciting festival music performing at the CMEA Festival and a Spring Concert. Students in the Green Acres Wind Ensemble are encouraged to participate in chamber ensembles and audition for local and state level honor bands.
